About the Author

The author, S. Michael Siegal, is a Colorado native who lives with his wife, Carol, in a suburb of Denver. He has retired from law enforcement with nearly thirty-six years of service. With his experience and knowledge in law enforcement, he successfully wrote his first two novels: Cop Cohen and Contra Legem.

The genre of his newest novel, Dumont, embraces horror and suspense and will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the novel. Partially based on a true story where the author and his best friend were planning to spend the night in a wood cabin that was purchased by his friend’s parents, within the mountain town of Dumont Colorado. Before they had the opportunity to do so, the cabin mysteriously caught fire and burned to the ground. This cabin was considered to be haunted which led S. Michael Siegal to develop a terrifying ghost story centered on the gold miner’s cabin. This novel will take you from the murder of the gold miner to the present day. Enjoy!
